Friday December 19: Warm temps today. Yesterday we worked to break up the ice layer that formed after Wednesday nights wind and rain. We had some success later in the day on Aspen Golf Loop 10 and Teaching Loop 00 but the High School Loop 30 stayed frozen. Today we will continue shoveling in hot spots on Aspen Golf Loop 10 - THANK YOU groomers as they have been working hard to keep the trail skiable, and then head to High School Loop 30 after the snow softens up and see if we can get that in better skiable condition. Unfortunately our snowpack is still too thin to set classic track and we will continue with reduced grooming frequency to minimize our impact on the thin snowpack and concentrate our efforts primarily on Loop 10 and Loop 30. Check the Nordic Pulse App for updated grooming info and please use caution as thin and variable conditions should be expected. The Nordic Center is open from 9-5. Have a great day skiing!
