Wednesday February 18: Noon update - **We are currently rolling Aspen Golf Loop 10 and Teaching Loop 00. Very thin and inconsistent conditions should be expected with no classic tracks.** A few more inches of new snow on the ground overnight! Yesterdays snow helped our two remaining trails that are open, High School Loop 30 and Owl Creek Trail, but that new snow was quickly melting due to the warm and windy conditions on trails that had previously melted out and were already closed. We are reevaluating trails throughout the morning to see if this new snow and colder temps will allow us to groom on those closed trails. Please use caution as the storm rolls in covering and hiding bare spots. Check Nordic Pulse for grooming updates. There is still good coverage on the High School Loop 30 and that bodes well for AVSC as they are hosting a Junior National Qualifier event Friday through Sunday at the High School Loop 30. That trail will be closed to public skiing leaving the Owl Creek Trail as our only remaining trail open during that time. There is also skiing available on the Road to the Maroon Bells and Ashcroft Ski Touring Center. The Nordic Center at the Aspen Golf Course is open daily from 9-5. Have a great day skiing!
