Sunday February 15: ** The Ski For The Pass Nordic race originally scheduled for today has been cancelled due to inadequate snow.** A big thankyou to everyone who came out to support AVSC Nordic programs at yesterday evenings Bonfire Dinner - many smiling faces. Last night we groomed High School Loop 30. This still leaves most trails closed due to excessive melt out from the recent heat wave with the only skiing available on Loop 30 and portions of Owl Creek Trail from W Buttermilk Rd to Cluny Road. Use caution as trails continue to melt and expect thin and variable conditions with exposed bare spots on all open trails. We will continue to reduce grooming to minimize the impact on our thin base depth, waiting for new snow which is forecast to arrive mid-week.
