Thursday February 19: A nice winter day with highs in the 20'sF with light snow showers. The new snow over the past few days has allowed us to reincarnate several trails. Yesterday we rolled Aspen Golf Loop 10 and Teaching Loop 00 and groomed High School Loop 30. Last night we were able to get a snow cat on Owl Creek Trail from W Buttermilk Road to Two Creeks. We will continue to reevaluate trails today to see if we can groom additional kilometers. Please use caution as the storm has covered and hidden bare spots. Check Nordic Pulse for grooming updates. There is still good coverage on the High School Loop 30 and that bodes well for AVSC as they are hosting a Junior National Qualifier event Friday through Sunday at the High School Loop 30. That trail will be closed to public skiing during the event. There is also skiing available on the Road to the Maroon Bells and Ashcroft Ski Touring Center. The Nordic Center at the Aspen Golf Course is open daily from 9-5. Have a great day skiing!
