It is the goal of the City of Aspen Nordic Trails Department to have the entire Aspen/Snowmass Trail System groomed within 48 hours of any snowfall exceeding two inches. The grooming priorities of the System on the Aspen side are the Aspen Golf Course, High School, Moore Trail and Loop, Marolt, North Star Nature Preserve, Benedict Trail, Maroon Creek, Maroon Creek Golf Course and the Rio Grande. The priorities on the Snowmass side are the Snowmass Golf Course, Owl Creek Trail, Terminator and Village Way. Trails will generally be groomed in this order and because the system has maintenance facilities at both Snowmass Village and Aspen, trail users will find groomed trails at both locations very quickly after snowfall or heavy winds. Call either of the two cross-country centers for daily grooming reports or view the snow conditions/grooming report.

Aspen Ski Tours (Ski.com) also provides a daily snow report on their web site.
