Aspen Nordic Council (501c3)

The Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Council is an advisory board made up of volunteers whose mission is to advocate for and oversee a seamless high-quality Nordic skiing experience and trail platform connected to, and within, the community centers of the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Aspen Snowmass Nordic trail system began over 30 years ago with a group of volunteers setting trails on the Aspen Golf Course.  This group has grown and developed into the Aspen Snowmas Nordic Council, a 501 (c)(3) whose main mission is to advocate for and guide the ski trail system.  The Nordic council generally meets once a month, and the meetings are open to the public.  If you are interested in helping guide the trail system, or attending one of our meetings, feel free to email the current Board President for the next meeting location.

In addition to advocating for Nordic skiing, the Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Council supports special trail projects to improve the overall skiing experience.  As a nonprofit, the Nordic Council accepts donations that are used to augment the Pitkin County Open Space and Trails funding.
